more on vegas recreation

If there is anyone left at the motel after the rock-climbing enthusiasts depart on Friday, we might consider the following: A tour and picnic at Hoover Dam, A round of golf? Other suggestions? GG

  1. Picnic sounds terrific. I alsowouldn't mind going to WATCH the rock climbers and cheer them on... I don't think I have the arm strength to do more than that.

I'm not a huge fan of the city, but, at one point, I kinda want to go into town because Katherine England has an art installation in Kim Kardashian's candy shop (giant rubber ducks in disco mirror tiles). What's not to like about candy and art? And Kardashians? (well...) Maybe a Friday evening trip to enjoy the lights? Fiona and I once got bus passes in Vegas. It cost something like $2 for unlimited travel and they just go up and down the strip. I think they were double-decker, so you can sit up there and look at the lights, get out if you feel like it... We also discovered some very good pastries at the coffee shop in the Venetian, which is run by Thomas Keller, he of the French Laundry fame.
